About Joan Morais

I am a Certified Aromatherapist, natural skin care formulator and I teach courses on making natural products for holistic beauty. Through my herbal and aromatherapy studies and enormous amounts of research, I started making my own natural skin and body products. I have always stepped out of the box, faced many challenges and moved forward on trust, depending on myself with the help of others including cosmetic chemists.   My mission in life is to learn every day, treat myself and others with love and respect and do what I love. I believe in possibility and prosperity for all and I am living it. My motto is "Be It." First, change your mind for the better and your life will naturally change for the better. It is being the change you want to see. My passion is sharing my love of nature, my joys and teach others how to make creative, healthy and fantastic natural products and to create a successful product making business. I am also the author of several 'How To' natural product making manuals and A Time to Celebrate: A Celebration of a Girl's First Menstrual Period. I was born on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai and resided most of my life in California. As a child I was deeply connected to nature. I sat under the trees, gazed at flowers and counted the petals. For hours, I would watch the bees visiting the flowers. I felt well outside in nature. As an adult, I reconnected to nature realizing the direct connection of my well-being to beauty in nature, the food I ate and the thoughts in my head. I have always had an innate sense of wisdom about using natural products on my skin, in my home and to eat foods that have been grown in a loving way. I have three adult daughters. My husband and I live in California.
