Peptides in Skin Care

Peptides can be effective in skin care products. Peptides help to reduce wrinkles and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eye area and firm skin. Peptides help to improve skin tone and reduce hyperpigmentation.

Peptides are a protein fragment. They send a signal to the cell to trigger a response to slow the process of skin aging. Peptides inhibit the enzyme activity responsible for degrading the skin’s integrity and forming wrinkles, loss of elasticity, tone, hyperpigmentation and spider veins/redness of the skin.

Peptides help with increasing the production of collagen and fibroblast proliferation. Peptides need to be small molecules in order to penetrate the skin and be effective.

The peptides used in the formulations in the Natural Professional Skin Care Product Making Course are derived from rice protein or yeast or probiotic.
