2 Skin Actives Highlight: Niacinamide & Saccharide Isomerate

Niacinamide: Vitamin B3

• Niacinamide is excellent for improving the skin barrier, acne, rosacea, blotchy skin and reducing fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and sallow complexion (yellow skin). It helps to lock moisture in the skin. It also improves skin elasticity.
• Niacinamide has been substantiated in many clinical trials as an effective topical for improvement of acne and rosacea.
• In formulation, keep the pH of the formulation between 5.0-7.0 (ideal is pH 6) to prevent it from hydrolyzing to nicotinic acid which can cause redness and sensitivity to the skin.
• Don’t use with L-ascorbic acid.
• Niacinamide PC contains a reduced amount of nicotinic acid, only trace amounts and doesn’t cause skin sensitization. It is more expensive.
