About Kimitrea Naturals

Kimitrea Naturals is a brand of natural hair products designed for people with curly, coily, and kinky hair textures. The products are formulated with natural ingredients such as plant oils, butters, and extracts to nourish and hydrate the natural hair.

What inspired you to make your own products?

Kimitrea Naturals was founded by a wife and mother of five who decided to go natural after experiencing hair loss after giving birth. In her research, she found the herbs and oils that are now used in the brand’s hair oil. Initially called Hadassah Naturals, the brand was unable to secure a USPTO trademark for that name. Undeterred, the team rebranded and became Kimitrea Naturals.

The brand’s products are formulated with natural ingredients and are designed to be safe and effective for all hair types. The goal of Kimitrea Naturals is to provide women with products that will help them feel confident and beautiful in their natural hair.

What was the hardest part of starting your business?

Having faith and believing that, I can do this. After joining Joan Morais Cosmetic Class it gave me more confidence and knowledge that I needed to work in the hair industry.

What equipment or ingredients did you first start out with?

My first ingredients were natural oils and my first equipment was KitchenAid.

How did your training at Joan Morais Cosmetics School help your business?

Joan Morais Cosmetics School gave me the confidence and knowledge that I needed to complete Kimitrea Naturals products line.

What are you most proud of?

I am the first in my family to create a natural hair care and start a business.

Kimitrea Naturals is a register trademark. And our products are available on Walmart.com and Amazon. We are a register business in the state of Mississippi.

What advice would you give to other hair entrepreneurs?
